Writing contest

The GWYaoi.org contest results are finally in. So the verdict? 1st for Metal Heart and 2nd for Our Farewell. All in all, not a bad showing, IMHO. I am now of the happyish.

A Few Things

I'm on the second (handwritten) page of Chapter Five of Blood and Sacrifice. Apparently, letting Nito finish rambling at me allowed Bakura to start speaking up again.

Oyaji's package is in Tallahassee. Whether or not I'll be able to pick it up before heading home is a whole other thing. I guess I'll find out when I call Customer Support in half an hour (when they're open).

I'm going to try and finish up B&S5 over the weekend. I'd like to write on HuntPath over the break, so I want to have that out of the way.

Only a little over a week left till the GWYaoi contest is over, and I can post Metal Heart and Our Farewell on DMnet -- and they can be entered into other contests. And I still say if "A Summer to Remember" wins, then next year I'm entering Gods and Other Creatures - and I'll enter it at 100,000+ words. *flips a bird*

Today calls for a minor dance

Last night I wrote about half a paragraph on Blood and Sacrifice, as well as on Mitotic. I also finished up my thoughts on Hunter's Path. Not too bad, all in all.

I got an email from Godrod. This makes me VERY happy. I love hearing from the boy. He makes me happy, little pervert, comic book geek that he is.

Unfortunately, I have the work now, so I can't type more...

Don't you love "in theory"?

"In theory", I'm supposed to be getting those long-lost episodes of FMA from Shane today. That'll be nice. If it happens.

"In theory", I'm turning over the first three episodes of Rome to hime to see if he enjoys it nearly as much as I do. It was the only quick trade I could come up with.

"In theory", my home PC should still be working. However, it is very obviously dying by degrees. Blue screens of death, rebooting itself without warning... you name it.

... I hate "in theory"s.

Okay, I'm updating on UltraSephy because Setsuna seems to be acting rather funky, almost like he's having a virus. That is not the cause for the w00t though.

The cause for the w00t is, the Transmogrified layout is back... and it is still the pretty.

I got three new icons finished last night. I'm going to try to get at least 15 ready (I'm at 9) before my next esmicons update.

So that's what I'm going to work on in my *great* amounts of time this morning... in between breakfast and coffee and getting ready for work.

Today's story begins with a prelude: Hikari and I were in the car and had to stop at a red light behind another car. The SUV in front of us apparently got tired of waiting and went through the red light, usually not the brightest move since there's usually quite a few cops on the way we now take to work but he somehow got away with it.

We just kinda stared his tail lights for a moment then Hikari busts out with "The Force is not strong with this one".

I return it with "The Force is not strong in his pants, but it is strong in his foot."

Pause the conversation while we go through the (now-green) light, before Hikari finally begins "The Force is not stong in his..." and trails off.

Me being me, I can't resist and have to keep going with that one: "The Force is not strong in his cock."

And thus began the bad bi-porn discussion...

Whoops, hello, neglect

I guess I've been neglecting this journal a bit, ne? Didn't mean to, but... oh gods, I've been ignoring online for real life. *teh shock* Money's been meh, I've been feeling depressed, and I'm trying not to whine. Maybe I should reopen my pitas journal and use it just for whining.

I might be putting Edo up for sale to finance a newer ibook, one that has USB ports and that I can load programs onto and that stort of stuff. I paid $225 for him; I'd like to get back at least $180... $200 would be better.

I dunno... I haven't felt like using my LJ for non-quiz stuff lately, since it feels like (excluding a few people) I've been being ignored. Goddess love the ones who've been being dears: Terra, katsuko_chan, and Chibi Tenshi.

In the meanwhile, though, I'll try to ignore this journal less - and maybe even get some new icons up on here. It just makes me feel bad to have 2000 icons available and less than 20 uploaded. ~.~;;

I'm up to 6 icons towards my next esmicons post: 3 Dogma, 1 Kitty (teh Biscuit!!), and 1 Yuugiou (believe it or not, Anzu).

Yeah, I'm just gonna go play around for a while, maybe get more typed up on the Mirror Doll page or something likewise boringish. Ciao.

Before I forget again...

Before I forget again, I need to unload my flash drive so I will have room for more stuff. There is a folder of MP3s and at least one video on there that needs to go, along with a bunch of other stuff.

Anyway, this is my note to me.

I've finished digging my GWYaoi grave. That's all I have to say on that.

I uploaded the FMA fanfiction part of ESMnet. I also got the first update of the ESMicons webpage uploaded.

I got the new update on DMnet finished. Now I just need to go back and work on formatting. Maybe I'll even clear off some stories that I only indexed as a favor.

I wish my chest would quit hurting. I wish I'd quit cramping. I wish the headache would go away.

I need to watch the movie Shane let me borrow, but I need to finish gazing at Faramir first.

I really wish my chest would quit hurting.

I still need 33 through 36 of Fullmetal Alchemist.

These are the last of the episodes Catboi gave me, so hopefully these should be the last ones I have problems with. From 37 onward, it's episodes that Sha or Robin gave me.

So... at home...

I'm being at home today. Why? Because I've been tripping and staggering about like a drunkard, when I haven't touched alcohol in months. Which, of course, leaves one option: bottomed out blood sugar... again. Fun fun.

Anyway, I've been chilling about the apartment and cleaned a little (sweeping, mopping, moving Edo around). Found my notes I made a few months back on the Battle City arc. I really am a fangirl.

Now I'm going to see if I can't turn up something easy for lunch. Later.

The closest I've come to tears

So I'm watching FMA and I finally get through episode 25.

...That was the closest I've come to tears since Uranus and Neptune died at the end of Sailormoon StarS. *sniffle* Envy, baby, you really know how to stick it in and break it off.

And I'm not saying anything else because who knows when Hikari will get to these episodes.

I want to call this my first "real" entry here - or at least the first one where I'm going to say anything that pretends to be important.

pride_writings has all three of my Envy/Pride stories in it now. I added "Silence" last night.

I'm probably going to start work tonight on the new layout for DMnet. As much as I've been enjoying the 5 year anniversary layout, I never intended for it to be up this long. I've just not been too terribly inspired for working on layouts lately. Hells, I would love to just beg someone to make me a layout this time, but I don't have anyone to beg right now.

Speaking of website updates, I need to update ESMnet to reflect the fact I'm writing in the FMA fandom now too. Since I'm already up to three stories... ~.~ I must love making work for myself.

I did get a couple new icons made though. I need more, many, many more.

Now I have to decide what today's theme is going to be. I'm leaning towards "Emotion" and maybe "Secret", but I'm not sure. I still need to find out if Winry survives the series before I proceed into the "Childhood Friend" theme. "The Duty of Siblings" one is going to be extra fun. *waggles eyebrows*

Time to start heading towards work now, though, so I'm signing this off now.
